Alibaba Scam People – True Or Not
If you search Google for scams on Alibaba you will find quite a lot of information about scamming sellers with a lot of buyers losing their money.
Yes, it is true.
If you don’t want to be scammed, don’t buy fake products. A fake product is basically a copy of an original product and brand name. For example, do not sell fake Apple iPods with the Apple logo on them. If they do not have the logo on them, you can resell them without any problems most of the time.
Apple products are popular and people are crazy for them. People from China know that and scam people by selling Apple products very cheap from China. If you Google for Alibaba scam on Apple iPhone, you will be able to find many stories regarding it. These people don’t have these products, they only pretend to have them, and once you send the money with Western Union you will get nothing.
You can visit the Western Union site and see for yourself the fact that this company was created to send money only to family members and other people that you know, not for business. If you were to fall victim to a scam and you sent the money via Western Union, you will get nothing back. This is now your problem and your problem alone.
Also, scammers who are looking to rip you off typically sell popular electronic products, like laptops, phones, etc., at really low prices. They can be up to five times cheaper. In this case, the buyer found a supplier who was selling their product for four times cheaper that the originals. Naturally, the buyer feels that this is a terrific find and will be able to make a lot of money of off this. However, it is not so easy. The only thing from China that is very cheap does not contain any logos, remember that.
Here are some common scenarios:
1. You found Nike shoes very cheap and you want to resell them on eBay, so you contact the seller and he seems to be OK. You order his product. Do you know what can happen next? One of two things can happen. The first is the items are caught in customs, found to be illegal products and are destroyed, leaving you with no product and no money. The second, even worse, scenario is that you start selling this product and Nike takes you to court. If this happens, you can go to jail or you will have to compensate Nike, and it will not be a small compensation either.
2. You want to resell the Apple Macbook Pro, so you go to Alibaba.com and found a good supplier. You send them the money via Western Union because this is the only way they accept payment, and this is it. Why is that, because China doesn’t even make fake Apple products. Even if they did, you could be scammed and won’t receive any product, leaving you without any money.
It is because of these examples people think that Alibaba scam people. But that’s not true. Yes it can be very dangerous and you have to know what you are doing. Scammers can leave you with no chance to make any money.
I strongly recommend that you stay away from selling fake stuff.
